Atari publishes and distributes video games for all major consoles, including the Sony PlayStation game console and PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox from Microsoft, the Nintendo GameCube system, Nintendo GameBoy Color and GameBoy Advanced, and the Macintosh and personal computer. With hard-core, genre-defining games such as Driver, Enter the Matrix, Neverwinter Nights, Stuntman, Test Drive., Unreal. Tournament 2003, and Unreal. Today, Atari has more than 700 employees in the U.S., with extensive operations worldwide and a management team of industry veterans with strong backgrounds in all forms of entertainment. Company History

Founded in 1983 by Bruno Bonnell and Christophe Sapet, Atari today has more than 1,800 employees worldwide (approximately 60% in Europe and 40% in the U.S.). A publicly traded company, Atari is one of the top five publishers of interactive entertainment software in the world and is widely regarded for developing and distributing quality games for the mass entertainment audience.

Atari comprises two main subsidiaries: 1) the U.S. based, publicly traded Atari (NASDAQ National Market under the symbol “ATAR.”) and 2) Infogrames Entertainment, SA, (Euronext trading code “5257”)which represents the Company's original operations. Atari includes the former GT Interactive and Infogrames; Atari also manages the former Hasbro Interactive on behalf of its parent company.
