Position title: Coordinator, Administrative and Special Projects
Position #: 111369
This position will be responsible for the coordination of major projects in the Advanced Cyberinfrastructure and Internet Global Services (ACIGS) Assistant Vice President Chief Technology Officer’s (AVP/CTO) office. Duties will include day to-day office management, meeting scheduling/calendar management, and travel arrangements.
The position will have the primary responsibility for facilitating project management in terms of project record keeping and follow-up, and will also be responsible for compiling meeting minutes and project status/action reports, facilitating end-of-year project status assessments and managing the administrative coordination of fiscal year planning.
This position will alo provide overall coordination for board meetings and other high-level meetings and retreats. Other duties will include event planning for ACIGS events, and writing press releases and articles for publication in campus and external newsletters.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in communications, marketing or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in office support planning and coordination.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
* Knowledge of and skill in the use of common word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and calendaring programs/software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Calendar.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
* Ability to coordinate and schedule meetings, events and related activities.
* Ability to accurately compose a variety of correspondence, reports and minutes.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive business matters and exercise discretion in handling confidential Information.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to motivate self and take initiative,
* Ability to pay attention to detail.
Preferences:
* Knowledge of information technology and the networking service environment is a strong desirable.

Salary range: $55,000 – $62,0000
