Description
Concept Artist, Electronic Arts, Inc., Madison, WI. Create aspirational concept art images digitally using Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator and other image authorizing software. Visual exploration and theme development for new game expansion packs. Theme research and reference images collection. Collaborate with project art directors to define theme and visual style for game packs. Create highly detailed visual designs and schematics guides to be used as blueprints for 3D modeling by external development teams. Digitally create high quality renders of objects, furniture, architectural elements, character clothing and accessories using Adobe Photoshop and other image authoring software. Digitally create precise schematic drawings and orthographic layouts of objects, furniture, architectural elements, character clothing and accessories. Support internal development team in creating new game features. Collaborate with cross-discipline development teams to provide rough visualizations of new game features in the forms of concept drawings. Hands-on creation of digital concept designs of objects, clothing, and other in-game assets to be modeled in 3D by internal development team. Telecommuting permitted. (COAR-S-103-WI)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Art, Animation, Design, Visual Development, Entertainment Design, or in a related field of study and two (2) years of experience in an art-related occupation.
Qualifying experience must include two (2) years in each of the following skills (which may be gained concurrently);
- 2D image authoring tools, including Adobe Photoshop;
- Design spec sheets to inform how 3D models, animations, and VFXs are to be built for game content;
- 3D authoring tools, including Maya;
- Conceptual design of at least 2 of the following; furniture, fashion, environment, or architectural design;
- Visual storytelling;
- Visual content pipeline; and
- Fundamental artistic skills, including at least 4 of the following: linework, lighting, composition, industrial design, anatomy/shape language, and color.
