DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
- Responsible for acquiring projectinformation from development stakeholders to allow department to plan forcurrent, and upcoming, projects.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams toshare schedule, budgets, scope of work, etc. as it relates to each project.
- Oversee the health of projects and identifyroot causes; share insight with management and partners to allow for correctiveaction to be taken.
- Build and maintain relationships with our global development partners.
- Communicate regularly with global partners to ensure project informationis obtained and shared with departmental management.
- Managers a team which:
- Works with management leaders to forecast future staffing needs.
- Collaborates with management and team leaders to create cost estimatesthat are aligned with our partners' expectations.
- Analyzes post-project results and data to identify improvementopportunities.
- Work with management to manage costs per project, ensuring compliancewith cost estimates; look for opportunities to reduce costs which align withpartners' needs.
- Utilizestrong knowledge of cost factors (game genre, size and complexity, gamefeatures, development skill, and historical trends) to oversee project cost estimates versus actual reports; work ascost estimate liaison for department, and track and analyze developer andproject data.
- Provide departmental andbusiness insights, from our partners' perspective, with management leaders to encourage skilldevelopment.
- Communicatewith internal and external partners at a highly professional level.
- Strategically utilize data to recognize patternsand trends; analyze results and report out to team managers to guide testingsuccess.
- Interpretation ofdiscussions may be required at business trips or conference calls. Sometranslation of key documents.
Qualifications:
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent understanding of Japanese business culture and etiquette.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication in English and Japanese (native level in both languages) required.
- Five plus years of experience as leader in the video game industry.
- Three years of analytical, budgeting and forecasting experience
- Excellent organizational and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills, problem solving, and cross-group collaboration
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly confidential environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
- Strong leadership skills
- Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or university), or equivalent
- Program Management Certification preferred
- Valid passport required
- Valid Drivers' License may be required
